Defining your requirements
First, we will meet with you to conduct a structured briefing so that we can develop a detailed understanding of your real needs and advise on the best strategy to ensure that the project is geared to succeed.
Assignment planning
We will agree an action plan with you, which is confirmed in our proposal and includes an outline of our understanding of the brief, our recommended search strategy and candidate selection process, timescale commitments and costs.
Candidate identification
Every search commences with the implementation of a structured research strategy. Our team will systematically cover the market, thinking laterally and logically about relevant candidate pools.
We tap heavily into our extensive local and global network of industry contacts, to identify and attract the most able and appropriate talent for your specific role. We research each assignment from scratch, reference checking as we go, and assuming that while our network is an excellent place to start; the best candidate for your role may still be unknown to us.
Of course, effective search is about having a rigorous process. Vitally, it is also about the art of using our skills and knowledge to identify and then attract talented people to consider your opportunity.
Building the shortlist
We conduct rigorous, objective competency based interviews, selecting the most appropriate candidates for the shortlist. These candidates will be thoroughly briefed on the opportunity and company prior to shortlist. We then provide detailed and honest candidate reports to you, outlining each candidate’s background, competencies and motivations, together with our recommendations for further focus at next interview stages.
Interface with you
Appropriate communication is vital throughout our search process and critical to the success of our assignments. Typically we update our clients through weekly emails or telephone calls, ensuring that any issues that may arise can be managed proactively. We will also provide you with a project Analysis at the end of each assignment, which gives you value-added feedback, market insights and assignment stats. We invite your honest feedback at the end of each assignment and the responses to our Quality of Service reviews are used to enable us to continuously improve our search services.
Similarly we will keep candidates fully updated on progress, ensuring that they feel supported throughout and are aware of our timelines, feedback and decision processes.
Making the appointment
Once the preferred candidate has been selected, we will manage the conclusion of the appointment, taking references and ensuring you are fully briefed on their mindset and remuneration expectations. We will assist you with offer construction and negotiation. This is a very important part of our role clients and candidates often find it very difficult to handle the late stages of discussion smoothly. We are practiced in managing both parties’ expectations and ensuring that the offer that goes to the candidate is one that is highly likely to be accepted.
During the resignation and notice period we stay close to the candidate to provide support and assistance through to employment.
