Sue Rossiter

Our Managing Director, Sue Rossiter, founded Barrett Webb in 1990. A business graduate with First Class Honours, Sue studied in the UK and the USA. Sue worked with BP and the Rover Group before becoming an executive recruiter. She was a managing consultant and partner with two executive recruitment firms prior to establishing Barrett Webb.

Having specialised in healthcare executive search for more than 17 years, Sue is one of the UK’s best-known healthcare executive recruiters. She has particular expertise in international board and senior leadership appointments in general management, commercial and development areas.

Jeffrey Webb

Jeff heads up Operations and Development practice for Barrett Webb.

With ten years experience gained in Production Management for a variety of healthcare businesses, Jeff has been closely involved with R&D, QA and regulatory departments. He has direct experience of validation protocol design and execution, freeze-drying, international technical transfer, third party auditing and contract development. He is also familiar with regulatory body audits, including FDA.

Since moving into Executive Search in 1997, Jeff has used his development, manufacturing, regulatory and QA expertise to provide recruitment solutions for a wide range of clients. These include large pharmaceutical companies such as Eli Lilly, Pfizer, and Abbott and Wyeth, and mid-sized pharmaceutical companies as well as contract development and manufacturing service providers.

Jeff's reputation for success in areas such as Analytical and Formulation development and for Corporate Technical and QA groups is second to none. He has proved adept at locating and placing key individuals in the UK, Europe and the USA. He has also presented on industry topics, including a UK wide discussion forum on QP issues, and contributes to a number of industry websites and journals.

Ruth Stone

Ruth leads the Commercial and Medical Practice for Barrett Webb which provides a range of advisory and executive search services to a wide spectrum of international clients across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and consumer health sectors.

With an international network of contacts and recruiting expertise across a broad range of functional specialities, Ruth is ideally placed to meet the commercial and R&D related needs of both established and emerging healthcare businesses. She has extensive experience in trans-national searches and has completed many cross-border searches in the life sciences sector. This has included helping to build the leadership teams of numerous emerging businesses in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors.

Ruth has 20 years experience in executive search. Prior to joining Barrett Webb, she was employed as a consultant within the Heidrick and Struggles London practice.
